The story depicted in the television series substantially differs from that as portrayed in the written series. The series follows the journeys of long awaited Seeker named Richard Cypher, a Confessor named Kahlan Amnell, a wizard named Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, and a warrior named Cara as they defend against tyranny and destruction. The show premiered on Novemand ran for two seasons before its cancellation in 2010. all would be well: a prophecy that proved true when Alfred took the throne of England.
